WW11 Veterans return to France this September
Tuesday, July 26th, 2016
Harry Bailey, 95 year old veteran of the D-Day landings will be just one of the many veterans returning to France this September. Despite his great age, Harry is still very active in the charity field, particularly with the London Taxi Benevolent Association for War disabled.
Harry worked on constructing the Mulberry Harbour prior to D-Day and served in the Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War. These men are preparing to head back to France to be welcomed and honored as heroes by the French and rightly so as we owe them a most sincere thanks for their bravery at a time when Great Britain and Europe needed them most.
Fred Vines, Donald Turrell, Frank Willis and Edward Needham.
Our grateful thanks to you all and have a great time in France.
